The Calling
Make discipleship a lifestyle for a lifetime.
As Christ-followers, we’re called to make disciples of all nations, but for many of us, this is a daunting task. We feel ill-equipped and unsure of where to start. Downline Ministries is working to change that.
The Downline Institute is a dynamic training program that equips men and women to make disciples. Our training takes Christ-followers back to the original strategy demonstrated by Jesus and his disciples.
Over the course of nine months, the Institute walks students through the Bible, from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22.
In addition, the Institute equips students with in-depth knowledge of God’s Word, biblical manhood/womanhood, and practical discipleship so that our graduates can make disciples in their homes, churches and communities.
What to Expect
Over the course of nine months, you will:
Gather with local Christ-followers for weekly Bible and discipleship training from some of the best local and national Bible teachers and pastors in the country

Study approximately 60% of Scripture - starting in Genesis 1 and end in Revelation 22
Get equipped to be both a student and a teacher of God’s Word

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Downline Institute?
A discipleship training program committed to equipping men and women to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
Who is the Downline Institute for?
The Downline Institute is for any committed follower of Christ who wants to learn to grow their understanding of Scripture and make disciples in their homes, churches and communities. The Downline Institute is an interdenominational, multi-ethnic, multi-generational program that brings Christ-followers from all over the community together to learn how to make discipleship a lifestyle for a lifetime.
What will we study?
In the Fall, we begin our time by doing an overview of the Bible. We then walk through the entire narrative of the Old Testament, Genesis-Nehemiah, as well as teaching practical evangelism and discipleship. In the spring, we cover Matthew, Acts, Romans, Ephesians, Colossians, II Timothy and Revelation. In addition to studying these books of the Bible, we also train Institute students in biblical manhood & womanhood.
Who are the teachers?
See all of our Conway teachers here.
Will I have homework?
The Downline Institute requires four hours per week of live class time. To fulfill your Institute commitment, we also ask that you keep up with Scripture reading, re-teach one lesson a week, and memorize a verse of Scripture each month. When you commit to the Downline Institute, you aren’t just committing to learning the Word of God, but to transferring what you are learning into the lives of others. If you do have to miss a class, you can catch up on what you missed by listening to the audio online.
What is the class schedule?
The Conway Institute meets from late August through early-May:
Tuesdays, 6:30pm – 8:30pm AND
Thursdays, 5:45am – 7:45am
What if I have regular work or school conflicts with the schedule?
The majority of our students are full-time employees and are typically able to make our current class times. However, we understand some careers and life circumstances can make participating in the Institute difficult. We love to work with prospective students to find ways they can still go through the Downline Institute.
Are there holiday breaks for class?
Yes! We will have breaks from class during Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring Break. We will communicate specific dates at the start of the Institute.
Can I still hear the teaching if I have to miss a class?
